Community Guidelines
Chaiverse exists to show what matters, not what manipulates. These Community Guidelines are the "rules and regulations" published under Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and form part of the Terms of Service. They tell you what is not allowed and how we keep this place kind.

What you must not post or do
You must not host, upload, share, publish or transmit content, or behave in a manner, that:
- belongs to someone else and to which you have no right;
- is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, or invasive of another's privacy including bodily privacy;
- is insulting, harassing or abusive on the basis of gender; is libellous, racially or ethnically objectionable; promotes enmity, hatred or harm;
- is harmful to a child or endangers a minor;
- infringes intellectual property (patent, trademark, copyright) or other proprietary rights;
- violates any law for the time being in force;
- is deceptive about its origin, or is patently false / misinformation published to mislead or harass, including for financial gain;
- impersonates another person or entity;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly foreign relations or public order, or incites a cognisable offence;
- contains malware or anything designed to disrupt a computer resource;
- involves spam, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, bot farms, scams or platform manipulation.
Verified circles & authenticity
"Founder" / verified badges denote an identity-verified, accountable person. Misrepresenting verification, or operating bot/sockpuppet networks, is prohibited.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and recurrence we may: add a label, limit reach of a specific item, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate an account. We act on valid grievances and on court/Government orders within the timelines prescribed by law. We aim to be proportionate and to notify you where lawful and practicable, and you may appeal via our Grievance Redressal Policy.

Use in-app reporting, or contact the Grievance Officer at [email protected]. For emergencies involving risk to life, also contact local authorities or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (1930 / cybercrime.gov.in).
